General Information


We provide treatment through community providers for substance users and their families. Substance use prevention and disorder treatment services.

Funding is available to pay for treatment for uninsured County residents.

Free language assistance services can be provided to persons with limited English proficiency.

Richards Building Residential Treatment Center

About

Medium- and high-intensity residential drug treatment provided by Gaudenzia, a drug and alcohol treatment organization.

Services include family counseling, transition planning and after-care referral. The average length of stay is 90 - 120 days.

Screenings and Referrals

About

County residents and individuals who have Medical Assistance that are seeking residential treatment services can receive a free substance use screening and referral at our walk-in clinic at the Eastern Family Resource Center.

Alcohol and Drug Assessments

About

We provide alcohol and drug assessments for defendants in Circuit and District Court. Education, assessment and referral services are provided for inmates in the Detention Center.

Adolescent Treatment Services

About

We offer specialized services for adolescents including assessment, referral and education. If necessary, counselors will refer the adolescent to the appropriate level of care in a treatment center close to their home.

Adolescent Education Program (AEP) is a six-hour series of classes discussing long and short-term effects, decision making exercises, and legal consequences of substance use. It is designed for a first-time offender of a drug/alcohol violation or youth in the experimentation phase.

AEP is also available in Baltimore County's alternative schools.

Overdose Prevention Training

About

Free online overdose prevention training. Will receive a certificate of completion and a Naloxone kit with medication 1-3 days after training.
