Outpatient Therapy

About

Outpatient Therapy (OP) for drug addiction, chemical dependency or dual diagnosis issues. The outpatient program includes individualized therapy sessions and group sessions.

Audience:

Those who go to an OP are often in the early stages of addiction and need minimal amounts of treatment and therapy. Outpatient is also the perfect form of treatment for anyone who has responsibilities like work or school that they have to deal with because you can live at home and also go to treatment a few times a week.
Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT)

About

Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) can help those who become addicted to opiates such as Oxycotin or Oxycodone by curbing cravings, reducing or eliminating physical withdrawal symptoms and allowing the user to live an improved life. Methadone, although an opiate itself, is not injected but rather taken orally. The medication does not provide the same euphoric rush that the heroin does but it does reduce cravings. When you take methadone for maintenance of heroin addiction, the methadone will actually work to reduce any cravings you may have. Methadone, when used correctly in MMT, can eliminate the compulsive and uncontrollable behavior of using heroin. Allowing you to get back on track with a somewhat normal lifestyle. Effective treatment programs will help to gradually wean you off methadone so that you will eventually have no need for the medication. The process of weaning off is time-consuming and takes commitment just as it would with any other substance.

Intensive Outpatient Therapy

About

Let’s think about the first step......When searching for intensive outpatient treatment in Maryland, call providers and ask questions. Do not just decide that the first number you call is the best place to go for IOP addiction treatment. Ask them about their programs. Ask what happens on a daily basis and what type of schedule you or your loved one can expect. Ask them about their clinical philosophy on the disease of addiction. How do they treat it? Ask about what type of approach is taken during treatment? Next, We can them talk about our Comprehensive approach with our IOP programs in the state of Maryland must perform at least 9 hours of treatment to qualify as an intensive outpatient treatment program. However, that 9 hours is the minimum, so make sure to find out how comprehensive the program is as a whole. Does it offer both group therapy and individual therapy? This is vitally important, because different issues are discussed in each and having a therapeutic trust that occurs during individual therapy sessions in IOP will help support and facilitate the necessary process of recovery. Ask about the BNJ IOP Family Program. Everyone’s situation is different. Sometimes the addiction disease affects the entire family, therefore the treatment program should be helping to treat the entire family unit and not just the addict or alcoholic. That is why we are working on a wrap around program to include family members in the treatment process. Families need help and guidance in creating healthy boundaries with the client in need and it is the role of the intensive outpatient treatment provider to aid the family in doing so.

Outpatient Program

About

An Outpatient Program isn’t meant for everyone. If someone is suffering from a severe form of addiction which has led them to chronic relapses or near-death experiences due to their substance abuse, they should go to a residential program. An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a great place for patients to transition to after being in a residential facility, but it’s also good for those who are ready to get sober and not resistant to the idea. Those who go to an OP are often in the early stages of addiction and need minimal amounts of treatment and therapy. Outpatient is also the perfect form of treatment for anyone who has responsibilities like work or school that they have to deal with because you can live at home and also go to treatment a few times a week.
