Community service provider providing support for baltimore city residence facing homelessness and poverty. Charity provides addional aid for energy costs If you have previously applied for MEAP and Fuel Fund. They may also have limited funds for paying rent, if the applicant meets numerous conditions, including they need to have some form of income. They do not assist residents in public housing apartments

About

Good Harvest Community Kitchen is a social enterprise expanding access to healthy food for children, adults, families, and seniors in group settings such as shelters, pre-schools, after school programs, summer camps, adult day care centers, group homes and senior centers.
Beans and Bread is a comprehensive day resource program serving more than 300 people per day. Mealtimes: Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on the last Sunday of each month

Head Start and Early Head Start is a program "provid[ing] early childhood education services to prepare infants, toddlers, and pre-school children for school, while also helping parents achieve financial, housing and health stability goals that benefit their families and the entire community."

Employment Services

About

Provides job leads and linkages to employment programs and jobs for underemployed or unemployed individuals. They offer two programs, Career Connections and Next Course.
Career Connections: Career Connections assists adults who are unemployed or underemployed with job preparedness (resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, job identification and application).
Next Course: This 12-week occupational skills training program provides adults with classroom training skills combined with hands-on experience in a real production kitchen. Program participants gain valuable skills and experience, obtain a ServSafe Manager’s Certification, and go on to successful careers in the food services industry.
