The Center for Urban Families is a non-profit working to empower individuals and families in Baltimore with the skills they need for long-term personal and economic success through job training and education. They help members discover and reach their full potential. Family Education for Fathers

About

CFUF offers family stability interventions and education through the Baltimore Responsible Fatherhood Project. Fathers in Baltimore can learn effective co-parenting strategies, child support management, job/career resources, and general assistance for navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. You can even earn up to $150. Those interested should call 410-367-5691 to register over the phone.

Job Training

About

STRIVE is a program that offers job training with the support of coaches and peers. STRIVE prepares you for the workforce through training that focuses on improving job-seeking and job-readiness skills and improving workplace behavior, appearance, and attitude. This program is for all young adults and adults. Call 410-367-5691 and ask about STRIVE job training to information on how to enroll.

This location also offers free certifications in the following areas: Healthcare; Transportation and Logistics; Construction; IT; and Human Services. This is through a collaboration with with Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). Call the center today for more information.

Case Management (BCAAN)

About

Baltimore Communities Assisting and Advancing Neighbors (BCAAN) is a collaborative of community-based organizations headed by CFUF, supporting pathways to mobility by linking families to community resources, offering supportive case management, providing leadership and advocacy trainings, promoting community activism, and providing mini-grants to programs that provide services in the Greater Penn North Community.
