General Information
Centro SOL is an outreach program that works to promote equity in health and opportunity for the Latino community in Baltimore. Centro SOL works to advance clinical care, research, education, and advocacy, as well as strengthen the partnership between this community and Johns Hopkins. Centro SOL provides educational advice and support for youth, facilitates programs that focus on physical and mental health, and provides health-related resources.

Testimonios is a mental health support group that is offered virtually and biweekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm–7:00 pm. Visit here for specifics. Youth Mentorship groups are offered virtually and biweekly on Mondays from 6-7pm.
Eligibility:
To get help, you need to: 1) Be 18 years old or older Latino immigrant 2) Speak Spanish. 3) Under stress 4) Priority given to Baltimore city residents 5) Be already getting help from a mental health worker or social worker, or be sent to the program by oneLanguages

During the COVID19 crisis, Centro SOL is collaborating with other organizations to facilitate virtual events. Coffee Talk with Comite Latino de Baltimore provides an opportunity to talk informally about COVID19 and resources for Latinx people in Baltimore. This occurs Mondays and Wednesday at 5:00PM on JHCentroSol's Facebook page. Stay Home and Dance is a virtual zumba class with Embajadores de Salud. This occurs on Saturdays at 9:00AM on JHCentroSol's Facebook page.
