Maryland New Directions (MND) is a non-profit organization offering free employment coaching and specialized career training programs for Baltimore-area residents, ages 18 to 60. Please visit this page to learn more about the services they offer here as there are different times for each program.

About
Career-Focused Services Include:
•Use of their No One Waits (N.O.W) computer lab
•Help finding a job that matches what you like, what you're good at, and what you've done before — using special career tools
•Support with making a resume and writing cover letters
•Help getting better at using computers
•Practice and tips to get ready for job interviews
For help right away, you can make an appointment for a job help session. Appointments are available from 8–9 a.m. or 3–4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can also go during their No One Waits (N.O.W) hours on Wednesdays from 1–4 p.m. It’s free and easy to sign up — just go online or call 410-230-0630. NoCommercial Transportation Careers
(CTC)About
The CTC program gives full training to help people get a CDL-B license. This training gets them ready for a good job in commercial driving. It also helps students prepare for the skills test, which covers general driving knowledge, checking the vehicle, air brakes, and special endorsements, to get a Commercial Learner's Permit. Expert teachers show students how to drive Class B vehicles like school buses, city buses, motor coaches, box trucks, and large straight trucks. Click here to register.

(NOW)About
No One Waits (NOW) computer lab has appointments for people who need help with: getting better at using computers, making a resume, writing cover letter, looking and applying for jobs, and more.
-These free services are open to the public by appointment on Wednesdays from 1–4 PM.

Maritime, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics
(MTDL)About
The Maritime, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (MTDL) program offers three weeks (90 hours) of strong training to help people start jobs in manufacturing, production, warehouses, and supply chain work.
- After finishing the no-cost three-week program, MND clients can take OSHA-approved forklift training and earn a Forklift Certification. This certificate lasts for 3 years and can be used at any job.
-MND also helps clients get a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card if they are offered jobs at the Port of Baltimore or BWI Airport.
