Celebration Housing for Veterans
About
Celebration Housing helps disabled veterans who have been homeless for a long time. They provide a safe, long-term place to live and offer support to help veterans live independently and with dignity. They also have a food pantry, closet for clothes, support services, and more. The SSVF program gives help to veterans who qualify. That includes housing fast, paying the first month’s rent, paying security deposits, finding housing, helping with utilities, preventing eviction, and connecting to public and social service benefits. They also help veterans get their VA benefits. Veterans with disabilities involving mobility issues can be seen at the 1814 Maryland Ave. office, which is Wheelchair Accessible. Others can come to their location at 3601 Old Frederick Rd. location for intake. This provides permanent housing to individuals and families in need. The programs include the rental assistance program, single room occupancy, PLASE apartments and the celebration housing program. Temporary Housing for Homeless Individuals
About
Project PLASE’s Temporary Housing Program helps to shelter and serve homeless adults. They have 24-hour supervision, nurses and counselors on site, and help managing their care. The people living there receive three meals each day, fresh linens, bus tokens (when we have them), help with doctor visits, and clothes when needed.
