A.I.R.S. (EHM/City Steps)
In 1987, AIRS was founded by the Central Maryland Ecumenical Council as the faith community's response to the AIDS epidemic. They provide adult permanent housing, youth supportive housing, real estate development & workforce development. The first Don Miller House, which opened in 1988, served four men with end-stage AIDS. Through strategic planning and community support, AIRS has expanded its program to provide supportive housing to the most vulnerable populations throughout Baltimore City and County. <br> Empire Homes of Maryland, Inc. (EHM) is a community housing development organization that builds and manages low-income housing in Maryland. City Steps serves comprehensive array of housing and resources including transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, case management, life skills and workforce development for homeless and unstably housed youth ages 14- 24.
