Asylee Women Enterprise, also known as "AWE", journeys with asylum seekers and other forced migrants as they navigate the immigration legal process, begin to heal from past trauma and rebuild their lives. AWE is the only program of its kind that offers wraparound services under one roof. Emergency and transitional housing is provided through a network of hosts and other partners including Catholic women's religious, churches and the Asylum Seekers Housing Network. Asylum seekers gather Monday through Thursday at our day program that offers English as a Second Language, job readiness, computer classes, parenting skills classes and wellness activities. AWE's unique model focuses on the importance of companionship and community where asylum seekers offer mutual support to one another in a safe and supportive environment
